Sewing Girl update

Well, as I told you at my other blog it was a quiet day here yesterday and I stitched in between other things. take a look....
You can see her fingers grasping the fabric....and soon you will see the stitching on her piece. Such an old fashion look don't you think? Although I have a few things to do today, I plan on stitching....that is one of my joys about being semi retired. I get to sit and read and stitch. Once I straighten out a house that hardly gets messed up...do the laundry...I get to relax. Since Zoe does not play with toys, I do not have any to pick up...it's just me and Mr H  so we pick up after ourselves...except this past week that he has been under the weather...just where did that expression come from...under the weather? Isn't it easier to say not feeling well...anyway.... I need a cup of tea  and  the morning paper...and since it does not look like rain is coming I will hang the birdseed out...the little vultures sweet birds are all waiting....
Have a wonderful day....

Sewing Girl...

If I get more stitched today...this could be a quick finish. Now that she has a face.....
and has a lovely hat and collar.....
I would love to find an old fashion floral print for the pillow finish. I can picture what I would like...now to find it.
Mr H is still feeling flu like...so I will spend the afternoon with a pot of tea and needle in hand....hope you have a great day....and thanks for visiting with me.

Next I will be stitching in her face...
Thank you all so very much for the kind comments on Bella. I really am so pleased with the way it finished. I feel good about another finish....it made 6 so far....not bad at all if I say so myself.
Well, time for breakfast, tea and the morning paper...work today....I am so glad you stopped by...hope your day is a good day.

Bella~~~~

It is coming along...another corner finished....
I will work on the opposite corner next, then the bottom center. After that, I get to add the ladybugs and beaded butterflies......
I did not stitch on The Sewing girl...so maybe a few stitches are called for there....I wish for more time in my day....oh well...since that is not going to happen, Think I will get on with my plans for the rest of the morning and then I can stitch again!
Thank you for stopping by.....hope your day is wonderful.

The sun is shining and I have an update on #13 and #3

If you were at my other blog you know there were some obstacles yesterday...but I did stitch. I decided to pick up Day 3, The Stitching Girl....
It looks like I have done very little, but in fact, I did a fair amount of stitching.Outline stitches are not much fun.....but I really wanted to do her.
I also stitched on my Bella....
I almost completed the right side hive area...that will be today. It is a delight to stitch. Making a Biscornu is something I really enjoy doing. The beads and buttons for this one are so pretty...there are ladybugs to stitch and butterflies too...just wait.
Well, guess I should move on to putting in a laundry, going to the store, and getting Mr H up for his doctor appointment. I hate the busy stuff, it interfers with my fun stuff.
thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful day....

Bella and some rain

Well, if you just came from my other blog I will tell you that instead of raindrops...it is now pouring out there! I do mean heavy!.As in buckets...cats and dogs kind of rain. As a desert state we need it and even welcome it...easy to say because we do not have it all the time.
Anyway, if you're here it is to see ......
Another hive completed....I plan to move to the right and do that hive next..then add the corners ...since it is not a pleasant to go outside day...and we will probably stay in day, I will get some serious stitching done. Maybe I will pick up one of the others to work on...or maybe sneak in something to break it all up. I am the supervisor of my own stitching after all....I break make the rules plans.
I just looked out the window....

This House Finch found a place to sit and wait for the rain to let up! He is talking up loud and clear...either inviting his friends to shelter or waiting for the seed sack to go out...for that, he will have to wait for the rain to stop.
Well, where ever you are...what ever the weather...make it a good day.....

All stitched back....

I managed to stitch back all that Fred ate yesterday...I must say, he has been very quiet but not yesterday...and for those of you who thinks he's cute....well, he is, but not yesterday. My bead shop can't find any of his relatives, but when we do...they just may come to live at your place!
Anyway.....
now I start the center or side hives....
Today and tomorrow is The Presidents' Day Sale at JoAnn's...you just know we are going to be busy.....and it is employee double discount days...so you know that I will be picking up a few items!
Well, I still have some time to stitch a few flowers in Bella...so I will chat with you later.....have a great day.

There would have been more to see...

Trying times this morning. I was stitching and pleased until....well if you stopped at my other blog you know the story. Well, here is what I did accomplish earlier....a finished corner for Bella....

There could have and should have been more to show ...
But Fred was hungry.....oh well...easy in but oh so hard on my mind to take out. I will wait a bit then maybe put the corner back ...but I really need a hot cup of tea first.
Glad you stopped in so I could let Fred see you...have a great day....I hope to!

A finish for Milady

I did it...1 over 1....1 over 1....
Of course, I still have to trim and fit into the pendant....but I wanted to give you an idea of what it will look like.
The colors are so pretty
I need to iron on a backing to prevent the edges from unraveling. I must say, I am happy to have the stitching done...I'll complete it soon. I did nothing on Bella yesterday, so that is the plan for today. Thank you for visiting with me....

Milady is almost...

I decided to work on my stitching after our ride yesterday....posted at my other blog. I am determined to finish Milady's design and be done with the tiny stithes...
It is looking very nice....there are two motifs to add to the bottom crown and then the border.

Of course I am still with Bella....there is a sweet lady bug to add to the top right...but I wanted to get the flower on and connect it to the hive ...coming along nicely.
Well, it is time to take out the wash and put in another...then outside to stitch....have a wonderful day, and as always, so happy you visited with me today.

Valentine's Day updates

I really enjoyed my day outside yesterday. I spent most of it stitching...
I love this project.  This side is the fuller side, that is of design work. I love that all 4 hives are different...
And look at Milady's motif....
I think this is going to be very nice when finished..but oh, I can only stitch for  a short time on it. But I will do more today, maybe even finish the stitching at least. I look forward to seeing it in the framework that came with the kit. I need to repair a stitch...I noticed a pulled stitch....grrr....
I hope that you have a lovely day....thank you for visiting with me....

Bella and Milady's pendant

Well, I stitched and stitched....
I first want to show you Bella's front side..
Do you like the gloves...those little bumps are all beads...oh but you want to know about Bella....well, this is one of 4 bee hives. Look how sweet it is..
I almost looks like I actually wove the basket myself. This is really a fun piece to work on.

As lovely as this is going to be, this pendant is a bugger...1 over 1...going blind I am.
But it is going to be really pretty. I think instead of making it into a necklace, I will make it into a pin as I am inclined to wear them more.
How about seeing it up and close...for size...
Small is the word on it! When my friend Ziz gave this to me I was gung ho to make all 4 designs. Let's just say, for now, I will do this one....when the challenge pieces are finished, then I will think about doing at least one more....actually 2, one for me and I will let Ziz pick one out for her. But don't tell her, cause then she will be waiting and we know this challenge is going to be awhile!
My goodness, you would think there is a banquet set out for these feathery friends...the talking going on...I really must get out and enjoy the morning with them.....It was so nice to have you drop in, come back soon....I will see you later.

Bella's backside

without further ado...

isn't it lovely...it just pops with color. I will do the outline around the piece when the front is finished...
look at this bumble bee...too cute.
I am going to keep both
the bee and butterfly in mind to tuck into other projects....maybe even beaded.
Well, enough pats on my back by me...time to organize for work....I will visit you later. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Lovely Bella

It would have, it could have, but it isn't quite finished..... yet.

Now there are 2 corners finished and the flower started on the 3rd corner. I plan to stitch more this morning as I do not leave for work until 11:30 am and it is only 7:30...so I do have time to get in some stitches. I have the advantage of getting up early, a quiet house and time....yes time for me...I hope you all have time for yourselves.
Well, I really want to get back to the corner stitches, so I will chat with you tomorrow....so glad you stopped by. Have a wonderful.

Oh Bella...

Did you know that Bella in Italian means beautiful? That is how I think of this design.....I did manage to stitch earlier this morn, look....
One corner finished and 3 to go. Remember , this is the back side.

Look at the tiny butterfly....
I am so enjoying this project...
I am so happy that you have been following my challenge projects...be sure to come back tomorrow...maybe, just maybe I can finish the back and get to the front. I still did not rotate another to do yet. I am having too much fun with this one!
Have a great day.

Bella~~~~

So many times we stitch on a piece that we really love...this is Bella. From the first time I saw the pattern I knew I had to have it....then it took back seat to others. When this challenge popped up, it was a sure thing that Bell would finally get stitched. I have finally gotten the outside of the motif area completed....
Next is to start the corner blossoms. This back side is less busy than the more decorative front, but it is lovely anyway. I will also try to work on one of the others in the challenge...but which? and when? and.....
If you visited at my other blog you will have read my days schedule leaves little time for much else. But for me, a day without needle in hand is missing something....it is relaxing, it has always been my escape/therapy and a need for me. You know what I mean. I always try to make time for even a few stitches everyday. Thank you for your kind words and visits and most of all your friendship. Have a beautiful day.

A completion!

At least something went right this morning......
My Snowberries pincushion is finished...completed. Just need to stick in some pins....
I love it
The backing fabric is what it is sitting on...I am really pleased with the finished look. I tufted it just a bit and did make a few changes to suit me. I am glad I did the beading my way and with my selection. What do you think? A keeper!
The pattern will be out in today's mail Terri.

Update for #1

I'm late...I'm late...well truth be told, I was not going to post until later when this was finished, but Emily was worried about me as I had not posted yet! How sweet is that....very. Here is Snowberries almost finished...
I really like this pattern...but I did change the beads. I have so many assorted beads, that I like to use them...and I did not like the color of one of the suggested ones. So....

I like the beads for the holly berries...and I am using a white for the rest....I love the special stitches in this. At this time I still plan to complete it as a pincushion pillow... then again, maybe a box top???? Decisions decisions!
Happy that you visited with me today...I will get back to stitching this one as it really is almost finished.

Bella and Snowberries

I guess I was busy...don't know how I managed considering I work yesterday until 5:30.
Here is Bella..
Ignore the coloring, I took it indoors without flash, but you remember how pretty the linen is...yes? Anyway, it is a delight to stitch this ...the colors are so vibrant...and remember, this is the back/bottom side.
I also did more on Snowberries...
This has Algerian Eyelet, Triple Leviathan and Double Cross stitches....and of course eventually beads. I am going to try to find the backing fabric for this today....I saw some tiny print floral yesterday...hope it is still there. We were mega busy yesterday.
So glad you stopped by today...I will be at JoAnn's cutting fabric today..but I will visit with you later...have a wonderful Saturday.

Update for day #1

I am really liking this, but then I do like Just Nan. ...
The white center stitches have a bit of sparkle which is hard to see....and the pink center stitches do to. This is a fun stitch.
I have posted the winner of my birthday giveaway at my other blog...thanks to those who celebrated with me. I think this will be an annual event!
Well, I am on the work schedule today so stitching will have to wait....I am also trying to do some on Bella at the same time!
Have a great day...stay warm...

Update for #1

Well, still having issues with our air/heat conditioner...but I do have a progress picture on Snowberries from day 1....seems like ages ago!
This is going to be finished into a pincushion...a puffy kind...I can picture in my minds eye.
It is hard to tell, but the white stitches in toward the center have blended filament..nasty to work with, but adds a lovely sparkle. I can't wait to add the beads!
Can you believe the nutty weather around blog land? Arizona is in a freeze...not comfy at all, especially when the heat is not working! Yes, I said heat...once in awhile we do need to use heat...not air-conditioning....waiting for an estimate to replace the unit. I am seeing $$$$ not stitches right now. Well, have a good day....I will be at work for a few hours this afternoon, so back to some stitching and a hot cup of tea.....
